MECCHA CHAMELEON — How to Play

MECCHA CHAMELEON is easy to pick up but has surprising depth. Here's everything you need to know about the two roles, round structure, and game types available.

Roles Explained

Hider vs. Seeker

Hider

Your goal is simple: become invisible. During the preparation phase, use the painting tool to color your pure-white character to match the environment. Strike a pose that blends with nearby objects —a plant pot, a painting on the wall, a piece of furniture.

The best Hiders don't just hide. They become part of the scenery.
Pro Tips
  • Study the scene before painting —find the spot with the best natural camouflage
  • Match multiple colors, not just one flat shade
  • Choose a pose that mimics the objects around you
  • Stay completely still once in position —movement is the biggest giveaway

Seeker

Your job is to find the imposters. You enter the stage after the preparation phase ends and have a limited time to spot every Hider. Trust your eyes, scan methodically, and don't let the timer pressure you into rushing.

A patient Seeker catches more Hiders than a fast one.
Pro Tips
  • Scan systematically —left to right, top to bottom
  • Look for color mismatches at edges where paint meets environment
  • Check corners and behind objects —Hiders love these spots
  • Stand still and watch —nervous Hiders often move and reveal themselves
